Meet the Maker

I'm the founder of South Shore Scents Co., and this business started with a candle-making kit my mom gave me for Christmas.

At the time, I thought it would be a simple weekend project. I had no plans to start a business. I was simply looking for something creative to do.

What I didn't expect was how much I would enjoy it. Making candles became a creative outlet during a time when I was dealing with anxiety. It gave me something to focus on, allowed me to slow down, and reminded me how rewarding it can be to create something with your own hands.

What began as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. I spent countless evenings experimenting, testing fragrances, and learning everything I could. Before long, I realized I wanted to share what I was creating with others.

Today, South Shore Scents Co. has grown from that first candle-making kit into a thoughtfully curated fragrance brand. Every home fragrance product is still hand-poured by me on Long Island, while every fragrance we create is guided by the same purpose: to become part of your everyday moments.

I continue to build this business outside of my full-time job, spending evenings and weekends creating new collections, packing orders, and growing something I truly love.
